2017 Royal Canadian Mint Nanapskekl (nickel)

Soon Canadians will be carrying Gerald Gloade’s artwork in their pockets. When Gerald Gloade entered his beaver design to the Royal Canadian Mint contest “My Canada, My Inspiration,” he joined thousands of Canadians who submitted their artistic reflections of Canadian pride. Fast forward to November 2^nd, 2016: surrounded by family, friends and his granddaughter Nina, Gerald unveiled his beautifully designed nickel to the world! Selected among the many entries, Gerald’s nickels will begin circulation in March 2017 as Canada begins its 150^th anniversary celebrations.
