Job Posting: Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will support the MDCC Project Management Team by coordinating activities across multiple project streams and maintaining visibility over schedule, budget, risk, and reporting.

This role is focused on coordination, tracking, and communication. It does not include supervision of contractors or consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update an integrated master project schedule across all workstreams
Coordinate inputs from internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment of timelines and deliverables
Track contracts, approvals, risks, and change orders, ensuring items are documented and progressed
Support project budget tracking by gathering inputs and identifying variances or emerging risks
Assist in preparing monthly cash flow forecasts and project reports
Attend and support regular project and construction coordination meetings
Ensure meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups are clearly tracked
Prepare reporting materials for the Executive Director, Board, and external stakeholders
Support project closeout activities, including tracking final deliverables and documentation
Qualifications & Experience

Post-secondary education in Business, Project Management, Construction, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in a project coordination or similar role
Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder projects; exposure to construction or capital projects is considered an asset
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
Detail-oriented, with the ability to track information and identify gaps or risks
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Proactive and dependable, with the ability to follow through and keep work moving forward
Strong proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office and general project tracking tools
Lived experience and/or strong connection to Mi’kmaw or Indigenous communities is considered a significant asset
Work Environment

Based in Nova Scotia, with regular interaction with project partners and stakeholders
This is a multi-year role aligned with the project timeline
